Riding school vs show

I’m a new player and trying to level up to the point where I can breed. I have a decent show string but I’m confused as to which gives you more EXP, the riding school or showing?

Aside from clicking on the horse’s show info, I can’t tell if the horses are generating EXP or not. Do you get EXP for entering  any show? Or only if you place?

You only get experience from shows if you place. However, it's a lot more exp than you get from riding school. First place is about 50 exp, so if a horse wins 10 shows in a day, that's 500 experience.

Another way to get experience is leisure riding - if you find a bag tied to a fence "leave it" for I think 100 experience instead of "take it" for $20. I see a lot of these in the Forest!

I wrote a guide with all the ways you can earn EXP! I highly recommend keeping your show string if they're doing well and then picking up some cheap horses to use for the Riding school for more steady experience and money gain.
