conversion query - what happened to horse

#189796 Posted on 2018-09-22 05:28:23

Please can someone explain what happened when i converted her from driving to endurance - specifically the high green numbers to strength.  I did this for breeding purposes now am wondering if it is worth converting the other chincoteagues in her division also from driving to endurance.  To keep the non-spec stats as low as possible should I have been treating in the discipline I want to have the horse converted to or what they are currently assigned to?

Any info gratefully received

kind Regards

The green number is from tack. So if you gave her an endurance bridle and saddle, the green numbers would be highest in endurance specific stats. Treat wise, until you convert it won’t matter, because they’ll reassign appropriately, but after, definitely change to treating in the right discipline. So if you don’t plan to convert, treat in the proper discipline. The problem I see (based off the one linked horse) is that, unless the rest of them are foundations, they aren’t all bred for endurance, so non spec stats are going to be high. Your linked horse for example has 64 STR, which is quite high for non spec and would negatively impact show results. But since her parents were both driving horses, you won’t be able to reduce that number since it’s likely mostly part of her base stats. So if the rest were also from driving lines, I’d leave them in driving for the purpose of keeping non spec stats low. If they’re foundations, or from endurance lines, converting them to endurance would be a fine idea.

Thank you  for the explicit explanation - I changed the tack & the numbers changed miraculously.  She has just had a beautiful filly if anyone wants a look.
