Computer Issues

So, my laptop is giving out on me, which I'm honestly surprised it has lasted this long. It's causing GIMP to be super glitchy (and now won't even open) as my computer doesn't like big files right now, and I typically work with 30 to 100 layers depending on the art I'm working on. If the issues continue to persist, I'll start using my desktop computer, which is newer and more reliable than my ten year old laptop. My desktop computer is an Alienware, so it's got tons of space, and has never had an issue with opening large files. I'll just have to get used to using a mouse again, instead of the track pad. I've no clue where my drawing tablet is, as it's probably still packed in a box in the basement or office; and I don't care to look for it.

But, any art due will get done. I'm currently catching up on a tv show, and have one season left before I'm fully caught up. It's helping me unwind, and my stress levels go down; aka preventing me from murdering my laptop due to the lag, and many other issues it has developed.
I have put a laptop on my Christmas wishlist, and the ones I've found that meet all my requirements is in the $850 to $980 range. So, will be a nice Christmas present. 

I also will try using one of our other Dell laptops till then, along with my desktop computer. Though, the laptop in question sometimes frustrates me, due to the way it's designed. Though, it's better than this ten year old crap, at least it's only about 4 years old. 

Anyways, I'm rambling, and now I'm going to run back off to watch the tv show. I ain't mentioning the name for fear of spoilers. Once, I'm all caught up I'll fill you all in. 

That is pretty impressive your laptop has lasted 10 years! Mine only ever lasted a couple. But I am fairly hard on mine. Literally melted the inside of my last laptop.... oops.
