So, I dunno how many people know this, I think I've mentioned it before. But my parents are (okay well there's a 99.9% chance) sending me to a private school next year. For those of you who don't know, I've been homeschooled my entire life, I'm an introvert, and I get stressed out very easily when it comes to groups of people.
So, ya know, I'm enjoying life right now, cause I finally got everything under control in life, and my mum calls me saying, "Tomorrow you're gonna go to the school and basically do a day of school with them to get the feel of it". From 8 am to 2 pm. Y'all I'm used to having school from 7 am to 12 pm with like an hour break in between. And there's gonna be people... lots and lots of people. And tbh I am not a confident person, so I tend to think I suck at school. So I'm not really sure whether I should be excited, freaked, or if I should got into the bathroom and cry. Truthfully, I'm just more worried I'm gonna have a panic attack while I'm there, because that's the inevitable. Darn.

You can do this!

I'm an introvert as well, and I totally get it. It's really stressful. Just remember to try to stay positive, because that helps more than you'd think!

Sending prayers your way :D

At least you're not going to public school!

All jokes aside you'll be fine, maybe you'll have a really good time!

Sending hugs and love ♥

Just remember that while there are some things out of your control you ultimately have control of how you deal with it and how you feel about it. Control what you can and accept what you can't and I'm sure you'll do just fine.

While I'm sure it feels like your parents are against you right now all they are trying to do is what they feel is right for you in the long term. Best of luck!

Hi,

I don’t like big crowds either, I had a panic attack/Meltdown at a concert.
Last month, I had to go to this big function, I have this toy bunny, the size of my hand. I put in my jeans pocket and when I felt a panic attack coming, I stuck my hand in my pocket and calmed down.
I’m not saying do what I did.

Maybe you can stick something from home in your backpack, like a family photo or a book, etc. I not telling you what to do, I am just giving you ideas.

Don’t worry, you got this! and I will be praying for you.

I frequently have panic attacks when I have to go places other than my home (and by frequently I mean every time).

What's been helping me recently when I feel one coming on is taking deep breaths, but only 3 seconds in and 6 seconds out. This reduces the amount of oxygen in your lungs and furthermore slows your heart rate. Once you've calmed yourself down just enough to think rationally, just think: This is only a moment in time. This will not last forever. I wont die. I'm okay. I'm safe and this will pass.

I hope your visit to the school went well. Transitioning to a different lifestyle can be extremely anxiety provoking. I wish you the best of luck.

♥
