Many thanks for the 5k.  I didn't realise you got money just for joining tee hee.  Spent it too quickly on background for mascot entry.  Can't wait for my babies to grow up & qualify to the club.

Club discord added and two new club schemes! You can now assign your horse a breeding grade (for fun) if they meet requirements, or choose to put a horse in the spotlight! (Spotlight post to come soon). Club breeding grades can be found on the club registry and in the discord server (Introductory > Horse-Grades). If you need help, just pm #37708 or ask on the discord help chat.

Re: April Newsletter

Looking for suggestions on keeping this club more active, contests etc. Would people be interested player schemes with monetary rewards? Undecided on how big the reward will be (credit related most likely) and the difficulty (to reward hard work and keeping to club standard), you'd probably have a limited amount of times you can win so it's not monopolised by one breeder.

Current schemes in mind are:

Prolific Breeder: sire/dam producing a minimum amount of active showing foals, may also have a legacy ranking system, would include monetary rewards.

Cream of the Crop: showcasing the best of club standards, one live horse per player (may included a deceased version too), a hall of fame of sorts.

Spotlight horse: similar to Cream of the Crop but unsure how to implement this outside of paying a fee to have your horse featured to help with club funding.

Player schemes with EVC as rewards sounds great as EVC is getting harder to obtain. I like the Cream of the Crop idea as it would give breeders something to work towards and having a spotlight horse would help with finding good horses to breed to.

Update for 2020 posted, read the newsletter for all details.

Club discord was removed due to lack of activity, as was the breeding grade standard, information will still remain but no discounts or payment of stud/brood fees will be available.

I would love to enter the Best Buckskin contest but only have low level foundation stock that doesn't meet the stat requirement of the club, yet. Darn, maybe next time.    :(

You could have a look on the market or our club sales section and see if anything catches your eye.

I did check the market for the breeds I breed but everything was wrong discipline and/or high non specs. I am sure people can relate.    :p

23/03/20:Discussion:

Moving forward with club development and accessibility- How do people feel about breed focused contests? A random discipline and breed will be selected and goals will be to raise the best show horse or to have the most improvement in your group of horses. Funds may be provided so everyone can contribute or horses preassigned so you have to work with what you get. The cream horse rule may also be lax in this case to make things easier and horses part of this contest will be honorary club members. Contest will most like last until horses are 10 years old and should have credit/large monetary rewards. The intention is to encourage diversification in specialities and breeds and encourage new breeding projects.

I would not be against the idea of more specialized contests like that.
