Juniper Armadillo (Progressions)

So, I'll be completely honest; I have not been satisfied with my full body horse art recently at all. Actually I've been cringing terribly at it... and truthfully because of it I have had an extreme hate for art (life of an artist, eh?) and haven't been efficient with it at all. So I decided it be best if I go back a few steps to the things that I am happy with, and make those things better, instead of jumping into a black pit in hopes I'll make it out in one piece (whoops).
And who better to do it with then one of my fabulous children? Oh.. i forgot; I've been neglecting my imagination and I don't have very many characters.... Okay, basically I hit the realization that I actually have only one character (of current use). And that would be my lovely RayneStar ♥
But I didn't want to do art of her because she's had too much love recently from me. So I decided to go through a stash of old unimportant characters I made like... four years ago? And who did I stumble upon but my one and only Chicken Crocodile Unicorn, Juniper. I'm not sure how many of you guys remember Juniper, as I did post him ages ago. But I found him, and absolutely fell in love with the idea of making him into a horse (don't worry. He's still a chicken crocodile unicorn), so I did so! 
Actually at first, I was slightly worried that he looked too weird; his base color being the color of NyQuil and all, I thought it'd be weird. And then I started on the shading, and then I looked at his eyes (or more like the nothingness where his eyes would be). His eye color was originally pink (thanks bro) but he just looked so cool with red. So um... ya:
