The EC Is On A Roll! Some Great Finds

#114958 Posted on 2017-07-20 05:18:37

okay, so I caved and got more Paints.

I LOVE them! They look like ISH/Warmbloody things but with colour! I've yet to decide if these ones will also be showjumpers, or if they'll do western (or be part of my project with endurance paints that'll be swapped to western/showjumping before they're bred to see if converting training gives better stat distribution than specifically treating for a discipline)

I actually got some really nice EC horses, by both colours and markings.

I've used a marking randomiser on 2 (they were white which hid their colour underneath) and a coat applicator on 1 as I liked the coat pattern (so that one doesn't count lol). I also like to breed bigger horses, so some of them are pretty well suited height wise too :D

but anyway, look at what I've found in the EC!

palomino RnRn RbRb mare

16.1hh perlino RnT mare

16hh classic champagne TT Oo mare (okay, her confo isn't great, but still!)

smoky black TSb 56.88 mare

cremello TSb Oo stallion

solid black 58.75 stallion (I may use a coat applicator/DNA tweak on him so he's silver or carries flaxen)

dunalino TSb stallion (okay, he also may not have great confo)

perlino Rbrb RnT stallion

gold champagne Zz RbRb TSb 57.13 stallion (yes, he was born like this :D)

surprisingly, I had no flaxen horses or horses who carry flaxen (sometimes you'll find a few non-chestnut based Ff or ff paints) and having one who carries silver (but won't show it) was also another bonus, as well as getting two champagnes!

Sweeet!!! arggh..now it makes me want to go and create more...Ive managed to get some smokey creams, perlinos, pallys and champagnes  and a silver seal brown amoung the bunch...still hopin to find a dunalino or red dun...( I absolutely adore dunalino anything lol)..

Saves using coat applicators ( which I'll most likely end up doing to most of my horses anyways sigh lol)... but also makes for a lot of fun creating horses to see what you'll get lol...

If I like a horse's colour ( ie champagnes, flaxens, silvers, dunalinos yadda yadda...) Im not to concerned about the confo..it can be bred up...im not obsessed with confos..

Finally!!!! A red dun stalllion! lolz
finally! A red dun!

Annd a perlino frame!
perlino frame!

GG smokey cream tobi rab. ( will get rid of the grey for sure
smokey cream tobi rab

boy with everyone's new fancy EC creates...the upcoming new lines of paints are gonna be gorgeous!

i'm loving all these new lines that people are starting. it means there are lots of horses in the RC with boring colors but awesome conformation ;)

but those are excellent EC surprises!

I may go looking again later for a few more hehe, never come across a champagne before although I've got a few smoky blacks, seal bays, silvers, flaxen carriers, smoky creams, cremellos, perlinos and duns before from the EC :D

I really want more duns in my lines, I'm not fussed on confo or Gg as it can be bred out (as can GG but it takes a few gens) but I'm excited for how these horses turn out, might make them showjumpers as my showjumping lines are relatively 'boring'

I know that I brought some lovely foals from EC as well... but their conformations didn't meet my requirements ;-;

I am torn on what discipline to train my foundation herd in... Western seem to be popular among paints... but their westerns' pedigree are hot mess... Endurance, also involves hot mess pedigrees but my endurance horses did a lot better in shows...

Umm.....
Western...
Endurance...
Show Jumping...
IDK....

For now, I am going to feed them hay cubes until 18 yrs old... then convert them to discipline I want. I should have plenty time to decide XD

I am also planning on creating a custom paint herd... XD I JUST LOVE THEIR BREED ART. such a beauty ;-;

ugh you snagged some beauties! that gold champagne guy is *stunning*
i just started a foundation chincoteague herd and had my first experience with buying from the EC... so addicting. i spent waaay more money than i intended to XD

on the bright side, if you don't mind me throwing up what i grabbed...
i got this neat classic dun girly with three markings, and this guy with three markings! something that i was excited about since i'm mainly into my welsh herd and it's so hard to find one of them with even one pattern haha
i also got a smoky cream, sooty bay, and a seal brown i absolutely adore, plus quite a few with 60+ confos. i was really pretty surprised with what a nice batch i managed to pull, none of the ones i dumped in the EC even had less than 50 i'm pretty sure... i know i dumped a few plain white ones with 60+ at least!

Some gorgeous Paints. I really do love their artwork. I'm thinking I might try and get into Paints just because I love the artwork. Although the fact the reins are missing for Show Jumping bugs me a little. Lol!
