[ADDED] *A Better Way to Find a Stable

As a deluxe member, I want people to use my stables so I can make more money and upgrade everything. I looked at the "search for stables" thing and found that most of the stables that you first look at are either completely full or only have a few slots open. And after that, the way that stables appear seem very random. As far as I can tell, it's not in alphabetical order for either owner or stable name, availability or price. I was wondering if there is a system as to how the stables are organized when the show up and if not, perhaps a randomness like when searching for a riding stable or the stables with the least amount of slots to the most amount by alphabetical order of stable name. Feel free to add anything, change anything or correct me. :)

Stables are currently ordered by Stable ID which matches the Member ID just so you know!

Personally I'd love to see more sorting options available to people in the future. I know a lot of people want to find stables with room for their larger herds of horses so filtering or sorting by availability would be a nice thing, or a filter that excludes full stables from the results like the Public filter. Price is already a factor with the search, but only minimum price. I personally don't see a reason to sort by Name, as if you're looking for a specific stable you can enter a stable name to search for which will turn back all stables with the search key as a part of their name.

I think some sort of search and filter would be an excellent idea. I don't see any reason why you'd want to find a stable which is already full, so I think excluding all full stables would be a good idea. The default sorting should be by price (least to most), then places available (most to least), then random. This would also benefit newer deluxe players who had just opened up a stable, and would help them get established.

This would be helpful to newer and established stable owners alike, Being 7 pages back I don't get a whole lot of boarders myself. Thankfully a few people have found my stable and stick around for awhile since I have a lot of room, but it's still very hit or miss. The further back in the pages you are the harder it is to get boarders so I definitely feel for the newer stable owners in this respect.

This would be great! It would also be helpful if the search would not include stables whose owners are no longer deluxe members. It seems like half the time you click a stable with 0 slots full it brings you to a deactivated page, which might be discouraging people from clicking new/empty stables at all. 

I completely agree, I normally grab a few RC horses on a daily and go back to search a stable to board at. I run into full stables and stables that aren't able to be boarded since the owner no long has deluxe

that would be a nice way to get other stables filled up I have 2 accounts that my stables are empty.

In owning a stable it's only ever had about 5 strange horses as the most at one time, and even then those hadn't been paid board for more than a month

We don't sort by alphabetical for most things like that because that gives preference to stables starting with the letter A.  Probably the best way to sort would be to be able to choose by price or number of slots available, and any results with the same price or number of slots should be randomized, to give everyone a chance at getting boarders.

What would be awesome is if you didn't input anything into the stable search (except hitting the public checkbox) that it would show up stables at random, much like how it does when looking for riding schools. Even better if it puts a preference for least amount of boarders to the top of the list.
Added stable search options such as available spaces would also be super handy.

These were all mentioned above as well as some other things, but something more like this would be my preference^
Kind of surprised this thread has been up so long without any mention of it being fixed, though Abbey probably just has too many other things on her plate at the moment.

It would be great if there were a check box to exclude stables who’s owners are not deluxe members at the moment.
I’ve searched for stables and found that a lot of stables had slots available, but deluxe had expired for them and i could not board any horses at that stable.
I found some stables, but this would make things much easier.
