I'm not sure, but I fell in love with La Fou's horse as soon as I saw it. XD

I was under the impression that La Fous was a Gypsy/Cob and Gastons was a Friesian. Least that's what they looked to me. Felipe I was never truly sure on

That's what I thought too regarding LaFou and Gastons.

I read somewhere that Philippe is a Spanish Horse. La Fou's horse looks like a gypsy. Gaston's horse I don't recognise.

On a side note, how amazing is the movie? ♥

lol I thought the same about LaFou and Gaston's horses, Philippe I don't have even a good guess. and also I wouldn't have even of guessed if it wasn't for this game.   and yes I love the movie.

Three different horses played the part of Philippe, two of which had to be painted for their filming (lol). They were described as being "Spanish horses," which I associate with either Pura Raza Espanola (Andalusian) or Lusitanos. While Lipizzans are common with the Spanish Riding School, the breed is now more associated with Austria instead of Spain.

Two horses played Gaston's horse; one general horse (Magnifique, confirmed Friesian cross) and a stunt horse.

LaFou's horse is a Gypsy Cob with no disclosed name.

depends on the film company too, and the stunt team. The Devil's Horsemen largely use Iberian/Baroque horses I believe.

There's another British horse stunt team, but I can't remember their name and they use more Friesian types and hairy cobs.

Game of Thrones is filmed quite locally to me, and they do indeed use gypsy cobs and Irish Draughts I think. I was tempted to audition Barney as he has that typical traditional war horse look, but he's also quite small and not very well behaved hehe
