Riding Schools and the Deceased

#110321 Posted on 2017-06-20 15:33:49

I'm having a bit of a problem. I set my horses aside into a retirement section once they turn 21. I then put them into riding schools so that I can still pick up some money in their last week.

However.

It's hard for me to remember which horses I've had in that retired section at times, and it gets tricky to collect the money from riding schools when you only have, say, one horse in Western - and can't recall who that horse was to look into the Former Horses area and find them.

For example, I just got notified when I logged in and progressed that I had 5 horses who died of old age. Hooray for taking care of them, yes, but if each one of those five were in a different type of show (and we have 6), and I drew a blank on their names (as I do), there's no way to find them in the list of Former Horses.

Search by name: I don't remember it.
Search by breed: still don't remember?
Search by age: They're all 22 when they get put in these days.
Search by stats: I have... no idea what each of their stats were....?

Is there any way to actually find a newly-deceased horse to collect that riding school money on when they may be the only one in that discipline? It's way easier if all 5 are dressage, for example, because you find one (and if you've used the same school for all of them) then you've found them all.

Can you collect money from a riding school on a deceased horse?

You could post in suggestions and ideas to add ID numbers to deceased horse notifications?

You can collect money from the riding school on a deceased horse! It used to be easier when horses showed up individually on the notifications, but sadly when we swapped over to the new cron to cut back they've been combined to "# horse(s) died from old age! Congratulations for looking after happy, healthy horses to the end :)" But deceased or waiting a week because you started showing the horse instead it doesn't seem to matter the complete button seems to wait for you.

For me I bookmark the Riding schools I've used after entering horses so I can remember to go back to them. Bookmarks are really easy to make and get rid of later so you don't always have to use the same schools. It's The best way I've found to keep track.

I tend to keep my riding schools open in separate tabs until I've "completed" everyone.

i use the same riding school for all of my horses in that discipline. when I go to complete my living horses riding time it will have the dead ones ln the same place so I can do them also.
