Hey Britain, you ok?

I know we've got mostly a young audience here on EV, and probably some Ariana Grande fans too, so I just thought I'd check in to see how our British Equiversers and other friends are doing after last night? I hope you and your friends and family are ok. Stay safe, folks. Sending hugs. :'(

I would not normally link to reddit here as it has some NSFW stuff that I'd rather keep off of Equiverse, but they have some useful information in case families are separated along with a stream of information regarding what has happened:

Most importantly:

If you are looking for a loved one many hotels are keeping people inside for safety. If you have information regarding this incedent, contact one of the numbers responsible for that below. This will be updated as we find more places

Holiday Inn - (+44) 0161 836 9600 - Goadsby Street, Manchester M4 5JY, UK

Greater Manchester Police Emergency Line - (+44) 0161 856 9400

Anti-Terrorist line - 0800 789 321

I'm from the UK and live 30 minutes from the MEN Arena, I've been a regular visitor to that arena myself for concerts and other things. I'm devastated for all the families and children that have been hurt. It's a really horrible thing.

:(

Just going to pop this here as another useful resource: ABC News Live Updates
Similar to the Reddit link Abbey posted, it contains a live stream of updates of the incident, from reporters on the ground.

My heart breaks for Manchester and all those impacted by this beasts cruel intentions. Though, I'm not surprised it happened... it was only a matter of time and it's only a matter of time before the next attack happens. We live in a messed up world :(

I hope those injured are able to heal physically and mentally. I hope those who passed are no longer feeling pain. And I hope the family and friends of those killed and injured pull together. Rage against terrorism!

I heard about it this morning and being in Britain, it was quite shocking and I was very upset to hear that so many young people were lost to that attack. I hope they all make a speedy recovery and that those lost will rest in peace x

My family & I were horrified when we heard about this last night. It's terrible when a group of adults experiences something like this but many attending Miss Grande's concert were under 18. Attacking a place full of younger people is the lowest form of cowardice. We're praying for those who were injured, those who are separated from each other & the families of those who lost loved ones.

I'm in the UK/Ireland and a part of the world that has a very recent history with terrorism (I won't say too much as where I live is a relatively small part of the world, too) and there is still an ongoing terror threat larger than possibly the rest of the UK due to the actions of 'Christian' and 'political' terror groups.

My heart absolutely goes out to Manchester, I cannot imagine how scary it is for everyone not just in Manchester, but the rest of the cities on the mainland (I'm relatively lucky as I do believe the violence and terrorist threat from the terror groups we have here is actually pretty good and if there ever was an incident near me we have bomb squads, armoured cars, heavily armed police as a pretty much regular thing).

I hope all those missing are found safe, and most importantly alive. My heart really, really does go out to the family members of those killed and injured, as well as those who survived and now can grieve and begin to heal.
