Entered shows list

#105677 Posted on 2017-05-21 15:22:05

I'm not sure if this caused problems only to me at the begining of my game but I was quite confused when my horses entered shows, shows were running and...I couldn't see results if my horses placed beyond 3rd place.

I'd like to propose creating something like "shows list", where player could see all shows results (of course I mean shows his/hers horses entered, not all runing in the game : ) ) , 'cause for now, as I know, it is possible only when someone save a tab with it in browser (and this is possible only before show runs). In my opinion it's quite impractical. Also, it gives no feedback about horse's "showing usage" - I didn't know if my horse was poor at showing (and because of what was it poor (tack, not enough total stats comparing to other or high non-specialty stats?)) or just unlucky (like placing 4th/15 horses just because someone entered his 3 horses after using stat boost on them and they had more stats than its grade should have).

Maybe add a new tab in Message Center, right behind Game Notifications. I thought about a simple table there, like:

HORSE NAME  || SHOW NAME || PLACE (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5h and so on, or a "No results yet!" or something like that before show runs).
It could clear automatically after some time (maybe a week?)...or just have "Clear All" button below.

And nothing more. No notifications, points/money earned - that would be mentioned only if horse places 1st, 2nd or 3rd in "Your Activity", just like it looks now.
I also think that horse and show name should be clickable links, so player could see total amount of horses in that show (and after visiting show's page we can see other horses to compare stats/tack etc.).

What do you think about it?

Haha................... One of my shows. :D

Or, perhaps a link that shows what your horses have won in that week, and then it gets cleared on the start of the next week. :)

It is a thing to a degree.  Unless you save the show links I have no idea how to get back to where my horses were entered.  I would love to see a tab on the horses page where you can see past shows they entered.  Just a list of the shows and what they placed.  To keep it simple it could even just list the past 40 or 50 shows or something like that.  Then it would be easy to see how they are doing in shows, how far back they placed, etc.  Right now, I only ever know when my horses place and even then, it's not organized by name and it can be difficult to go through tons of shows as they pop up in my notifications.

you can see what places your horse has placed in???
like how many 1st, 2nd, and 3rds they've been in
and i know you wanna know how many other places they have

but those dont really matter imo????

but in your activity page just click the show name to see their complete results

and if you REALLY wanna keep track of useless places jsut make a google sheet

Are you talking about receiving results even if your horse isn't in the top three?

If so, I support. Especially if I haven't seen one of my horses place at all that day. I wouldn't want it in my activity, but if it had its own separate place, that would be great. A separate place dedicated to all of my horses' placings.

@ ♥ Goose Feathers ♥
Ehh...not exactly.
I thought about getting results even if my horse is not in top 3.
Not as notification in "Your Activity" but on some other place, where people who are not interested in that will not have to look at it.

@Lurk,
That's the point - I don't want to make Google sheet for that, I don't want to save tabs with my horses' shows by hand. I don't have time for it but I'd like to know WHY my horses hadn't placed in top 3, especially when they usually did.
I want to get a quick acces to all shows my horses were entered for. From the game, not from my personal notes out of EV.

Lurk, it does matter to some people. Others have suggested this sort of thing in the past as it can be very frustrating to figure out why your horses aren't showing well, especially for people who show a lot of horses. I hope that some way to view all of a horse's show placings will be added to the game soon.

I agree, it would be nice to see which horses out of my showing group places(other than 1st,2nd or 3rd) and which ones don't.

Support.

As a side note, an alternative system I'm using at the moment involves copying down horses' stats once per day (after their shows have mostly all run) and just keeping track of this. That allows me to see how many stats they're gaining each day, which shows clearly whether they're earning good stats from shows or not.
