[ADDED] *Pre-Made Tag Assortment for Basic Accounts

In this Forum Post: Free Tag, Opalessent suggested that basic accounts get a free tag (I think). UlyssesBlue then made the suggestion of basic accounts getting to choose from a small set of default pre-made tags. Many people seemed to like the pre-made default tag idea. River then suggested that perhaps pre-made default tags should be a separate suggestion from Opalessent's Free Tag suggestion. River also offered to create some basic versions if this were enacted.

Just to be clear this suggestion is actually UlyssesBlue's suggestion to Opalessent's suggestion of a free tag for basic accounts.

I am not claiming any of the ideas for my own. I just thought I'd make the separate post to give the pre-made default tag for basic account idea a post on its own.

What do we think of having a few default pre-made tags (4-5 has been suggested) for basic account holders to choose from?

My mom doesn't want me to buy memberships on games, and most basic players will agree. So I think we should get 4-5 tags

I think if we have some default tags for basics there should also be a way to distinguish them from just another custom tag. For example, they could all have the same background, which could be in EV's colour scheme. They could also be smaller, e.g. 100 x 100 px. They could maybe use the official EV art?

For some tag ideas I would suggest a good variety of different breed types, colours and patterns.

Not sure why but I was under the impression that EV was getting default tags at some point. Not sure where I read that. Support premade avatars for basic members. Personally I prefer headshots over fullbodies and don't see why they should be smaller than 150x150. The only problem I can see with 'custom' premade tags is people trying to claim it as a character design but would probably be an uncommon problem. 

How about something like this, in 3 main colours (black, bay, chestnut)? 



I made it a while ago whilst toying with the idea of free default tags... It uses official horse art and the Equiverse logo, for use on Equiverse only.

Ok but to me shouldn't we get to chose our own. Like I have my own horses and art I would like for a tag.

That choice comes with deluxe Tornado. It costs money to run a site like this and for deluxe to have the custom tags, it gets people to pay for it more. 

I think it would take away from the difference between every member. If A & B have the same exact tag, there's really no (I have no idea how to word this), uniqueness to every person.

I almost feel as if it would go the same way as custom images for EV horses, if you can get a free tag to choose from already, why spend money on getting a deluxe? Getting tags is a good feature that many like and get deluxe mainly for, but this may just take away business from Abbey. -shrug-

No support. I agree with what Pistol says. If there are less and less incentives to getting an upgraded account, why upgrade?

I feel Like we should have the choice to chose what breed, color, and background we want. We can't upload a photo or use a different photo but I think we should get a choice in what color, breed, and background we get

I like Ulysses tag idea for the breeds, but I also like Yirrell's horse head tag idea with the equiverse logo.  I don't think there should be too many options, as it would take away from the appeal to the upgraded accounts. 

What if they were the top 4-5 most popular breeds, but instead of the whole bodies, were just the heads (with the logo), like Yirrell's suggestion?  The colors could be the most common colors that those breeds would come in, or even Mod favorite colors.
