Title says it all. Playing with HTML is like... playing with fire. I messed my page up so bad that even the "reset" button in the Help section isn't even doing anything.

*sigh*

Help.. please?

Can you find your editing box at all? If not, I suggest sending a ticket to the mods to help reset your page.

There's a bug at the moment that means the reset button on the help page isn't working. It's affecting everyone, not just you. Your page is another matter though. I had this trouble once recently and managed to figure out a workaround. I'll take a look at your page and see if I can figure something out. Can you tell me what browser you're working with?

*edit* Ok, there's a few options here. I can't immediately see the broken code, so I'll offer a general solution instead.

Option 1 If you have a second account...
1. Log out of your current account then log into the other one.
2. Go to your account page.
3. Open Equiverse in a new tab, then log out of your second account from this second tab.
4. In this same tab, log into your first account.
5. Switch to the first tab, which shows the account page for your second account, even though you're no longer logged in there.
6. Under Account settings, clear whatever layout is there, then press save. This will load a blank layout for your main account. From there you can edit as normal.

Option 2 (This may be browser dependent.)
1. Go to your account page.
2. Right click anything that looks broken, then click 'Inspect Element'. This will bring up the developer tools that come with most modern browsers.
3. Somewhere in this tool you should see the CSS styles that have been applied to that element, with perhaps some tickboxes next to them.
4. Untick all the styles you've added to that element.
5. Do this for however many elements is needed until you can finally see the Account Settings box.
6. Clear the layout in the Account Settings box, then click save.

Hint
For future editing, have your account page open in two tabs. One is the page you work with, the other is a clean version which you can use for wiping your layout if things go wrong.

Oh, my. That was nerve wracking. Ulysses, you're my hero! Option 1 did not work. And of course, you know, there was nothing /in/ the HTML box. It had been swiped which made me super confused. Anyway, I had to go with Option 2 but I was nervous because I couldn't remember what I had even done to make my page go wonky! Hahaha! So, I just had a tick a bunch of random boxes and the page was going insane. I thought I had entirely ruined everything but I made the "Update Settings" box visible... and WHAMO! It worked.

THANK YOU!!

Awesome! Glad it's sorted. :)
That same process is also useful for testing changes to your layout as it only affects how your browser displays the page, not the code on the Equiverse end. If you massively break it, just refresh the page to restore the original version. Just remember any changes you want to keep need to be copied over from your browser to the layout code in the account settings.

Thanks!
I appreciate the tips you have given me. I used to be awfully knowledgeable about HTML and CSS and now... not so much! Haha!

Abbey should have fixed the page reset button. It should be working again.
