EC still giving Sabino clydes?

#102357 Posted on 2017-04-24 10:05:35

I'd like to buy some new Clydes but I'm looking to get plain classic bay with white feathering Clydes. Does anyone know if the EC is still giving out mostly sabino Clydes? Thanks!

I've just started a clyde line and literally every clyde I got from the EC was either Sb+ or SbSb. I'm not sure this is a bug though. If the rarities of colours from the EC reflect real life, then realistically I'd expect them all to have some form of sabino.

My colour project is actually to breed for solid clydes with white feathering, so it's a bit frustrating not to be able to find better starter horses, but I guess this is just all part of the challenge.

Yeppers. I grabbed 4 foundation's from the EC and all are SbSb. Good thing I love the marking; otherwise I'd be super annoyed.

Thank you both for letting me know. I like Sabino too but I really wanted just the plain bay this time.

so I went to the EC today and created a whole bunch of clydes....every single one..SbSb or Sbsb..uggg..Not gonna spend any bucks there...Guess I have to pay the credits to create the colours I want pffft....
Made these 3 fellas a while back...need a few ladies to match...I love the bald faces and white stockings...cant even get a single solid in the EC pfft....
Once upon a time, peeps were complaining that they were just getting solids..or bays when creating Clydes in the EC..now Im wishin we were back to that lolz...

Until then, gotta make more of these:

The Sb is driving me crazy. It looks awful O.o

I know in real life most clydes have some sabino markings but do the EV clydes really have to be this flashy???

Agreed. My biggest objection to the clyde art is the inaccuracy of sabino. In real life they have draft-type sabino, not Sb1 anyway, so it shouldn't look like the other sabino art. It's for this reason that I'm breeding for solids with high white leg markings and large face markings. It bears the closest resemblance to their true markings. Unfortunately I chose to start out after the EC stopped giving solids, so I have nothing but Sb+ and SbSb horses to work with. :P Never mind, an extra challenge!

I was so hoping the EC giving nothing but Sabino was a bug. I do have some solid Bays but they have black feathering. Plus they're all at least 8 yo so I'm going to be having some pass away. I may have to dig in the couch cushions to buy some extra credits for customs. Hmm... could I use a marking applicator to remove the Sabino?

@Windspun - those are some handsome fellows!

I also hoped it was a bug, even made a post on the bug board but never got a response.

I usually buy dozens of foundies and select those with at least 59 confo. Now I'll need to find clydes that are Sb+ AND high confo. That will cost a fortune.

I bred all solids without markings, I hate the idea of having to introduce Sb to my lines.
These lines go back for years, but I'm really thinking of just quitting the breed altogether because of this.

^ I had a similar issue when I was getting my foundies. I found a good method was to trawl the RC on a regular basis. That way you can pick and choose your horses, and they only cost $200 each, as opposed to buying tons of horses then discarding most of them.

@ Valzed..ty...yes, I love my handsome custom boys! Cant wait to get some flashy babies from them...

I ended up grouping my Clydes into 2 separate stables last night...Want to keep the Sabinos and solids separate ..so I dont go breeding umpteen sabinos by mistake lolz..sighhhh

@Féline - I remember seeing your post on the bug board. I'd hate to see you leave Clydes but I understand your frustration. Your Clydes are incredible and I wouldn't want to introduce Sabino to them if I were you.

@Windspun - I look forward to seeing the gorgeous foals these fellows produce! Grouping them into 2 groups is a good idea. Although that would be my 3rd Clyde division as I have all my chestnut Clyde in a different division from my other Clyde. It still might be a the best way to go though...

@Siren - Wow... just wow. 54 out of 54 sabino. It sure seems like a bug. I can't believe you didn't get one solid in any color.
