Week 1: How has it been?

I hope everyone's first week has been fun!

Over the past week, we've run into a few issues here and there which are in the process of being fixed. We've also had some lovely suggestions for the game, which I will be spending the next few weeks adding! Today I'm going to give a rundown of what's happened over the course of the week, and what's to come for the next two weeks.

Changes To Shows
You may have noticed yesterday that shows took a while to run, and that some of them ran twice, or even 3 times, earning horses double or triple points/winnings. You may also have noticed that shows didn't run today. Unfortunately there has been a lot of delay in shows completing, and a bug that has wiped shows for today. I am investigating what I can do to reduce the amount of time they take, and fix any other issues, and so far the following is likely to happen:

+ I will be removing specialty-specific points and earnings records. The vast majority of horses will have a specialty and will only earn points and earnings in those specific show types. Therefore, having all the other specialty types becomes unnecessary. Removing them would remove two queries to the database PER entry, so I think that would be an excellent way of reducing the lag for shows.
+ It is possible that if the first solution doesn't do much (it should, but it's always best to have a plan B) then we will be moving from shows that run on a daily basis, to shows that run when they are full (with partially-full shows running at the end of the day).

I am really sorry about today's shows. I'll de-age all horses by a day and refund all show entry fees you paid yesterday to account for the potential loss of a day & the money. I'm still smoothing things out, so I hope that you can all forgive me <3

New Features
This week, I've added the following new features:

+ Upgrade All Tack section for Deluxe members
+ Displaying which stallion a pregnant mare was bred to
+ Horse Search now gives you the option to search only for rescue center horses
+ Overall Income/Expenditure and a Profit section for monthly expenses in the bank
+ A couple of new boards have been added to the forums: Giveaways, Official Equiverse Clubs, and Equiverse Member Groups
+ Recommended Tack will show up in the equipment dropdown list on a horse's page (as long as the horse has a specialty) which will display the highest grade relevant tack that you own

Coming Soon
In the next two weeks on Equiverse I will be aiming to tackle the following:

+ Shows crisis
+ Upgraded tack that was imported but only gives Grade 1 tack stats
+ Equip Recommended Tack button to just immediately equip those four recommended pieces with one click (will be for Deluxe only)
+ Allowing you to see what shows have been created for 3 days' time when creating your own shows, so you know what discipline/grade are low on shows
+ Assigning treat types to horses and including it in the auto-care
+ Collapsing Divisions on "Your Horses" page
+ Discard All for stacks of items

Thanks for the heads up about the shows! I noticed this morning I had no activity and was assuming it was something along these lines!

Abby, could you have a look at the interest build up? I am a Deluxe so shouldnt I get 1% interest a day? I only got 0.5 this morning so my money isnt building like I thought it should.

So once the bug is fixed we will make the earnings we should of or get the money spent back? horses get their appropriate stats or? cuz mine had been buggy for about three days. Thanks for your hard work! we love you Abbey! :D ♥

Abbey you are doing a great job. So far this first week has been a learning experience for me. But its something i like to do. Glad to see some of the things suggested have been and will be included on the game. Again Abbey great job.

Can someone please further explain the removing of specialty specific points and earnings record? Does that just mean we won't see what each horse gets from shows they are entered in, or something different?

Great news Abbey!

But about shows, we still have the problem with the ammount of shows? I mean, still have problems finding shows for horses with 3 different grades, couldn´t you create some autoshowings that autocreate themselves if there are no enough shows? Don´t know if that makes sense ´^^

I love it so much but for me the leisure ride is broken whenever i click ride it doesnt do anything so i just leave the area but other then that the update is so fun :D
